PA E19thC American Case Irish Works Tall Clock, the bonnet has an inlaid swan's neck crest with stars inlays, the brass 8 day time and strike works is signed " Char Kinkead Stra Bane" with a round engraved center panel with a second hand and day dial (no mechanism), the cherry and mahogany case is inlaid with light woods and supported by short turned feet, the works appear to be later than the dial and then later set into this case, 102" tall including finial. The back of the Chapter ring is signed "John Parker Dublin", so this ring was turned over by Kinkead when he made this dial. This clock was published in the Nov '98 issue of "Clocks" because of this unusual progression of Irish clock makers and then put in an American case.
