Two Oceanic Hide Scrolls, Bataks of North Sumatra, one comes in two parts and was sinew sewn together, 48" x 7 1/4" overall, depicting a dance figural staff, a warship and written symbols used by the Batak priests in divination. The second one which depicts a Nias Island Ancestor figure, three bushy hair faces like timor Batak masks and another warship, 31 1/2" x 7 1/4", acquired shortly after WWII.
