Folk Art State of Maine Swift, Dated 1872 - With History, Maple with mahogany blocks, 28" d when open x 27" tall, the finial is inlaid with the date, initials, diamond and circle, the two collars are inlaid with multicolored diamonds, the lower shaft is painted with a potted plant with red flowers on four sides, the oval base is inlaid with a star and banded light wood and colored inlays, some of the slats are coming loose from the central shaft, old tag attached "Made by David C. Leiders, So. Bristol, ME (11-13-1835-12-8-1908)".
