Folk Art State of Maine Swift, Dated 1872 - With History, Maple with mahogany blocks, 28" d when open x 27" tall, the finial is inlaid with the date, initials, diamond and circle, the two collars are inlaid with multicolored diamonds, the lower shaft is painted with a potted plant with red flowers on four sides, the oval base is inlaid with a star and banded light wood and colored inlays, old tag attached "Made by David C. Leiders, So. Bristol, ME (11-13-1835-12-8-1908)".
