American Southern Rosewood Victorian Secretary, Consisting of three parts; the crown molding with rounded corners sets on top of two glazed cabinet doors with carved lattice work at the top, the bottom section has three side by side drawers over an interior of yellow drawers and cubby holes with a fold down felt writing surface on the backside and a recessed rosewood panel on the front, fitting into the front of this is a fold down box the inside with felt writing surface to match the one above, underneath this are two oval recessed panel doors with carving which rest on a rounded corner scalloped base, 47" wide x 21" deep x 93 1/2" tall. The secondary wood appears to be cypres, cedar and poplar woods which point to a southern origin possibly Louisiana over to South Carolina.
