A Fine Asmat Shield, Northeastern Asmat; Tchitak region (Area C); Irian Jaya, The shield of monumental form, the surface with three stacked sets of radiating four-part circular motifs in black, white and pinkish-red; the top with stylized face and an area of old damage to the proper left side.
