Lot 140: 19thC Carved and Gilded Buddha Figure

19thC Carved and Gilded Buddha Figure, Standing with his left hand raised with two fingers up, set on a carved lotus base all from one piece of wood, figure is gilded with wear and some losses, the base is early red lacquer covered wood color, damage to lowered right hand, modern metal hanger screwed into his back, 13" tall, appears to be a 19thC or earlier rendition, an old nail is inserted into bottom indicating it might have sat on top of something at an earlier time.
