Very Interesting Tern Bird, Made of miro wood by resident of Pitcairn Island Oscar Clark. The descendants of the leader of the mutiny on the HMS Bounty, Lt. Christian Fletcher, still live on Pitcairn and Christian is still a common family name. The islanders earn money by selling these carvings of birds and flying fish to passing ships and yachts to supplement the meagre stipend they receive from the British Government.
