Mahogany Empire Captain's or Box Desk, Having a rectangular boxed case with fold down writing surface, one down the surface is canted with two lift up compartments, the front one with cubby holes and two drawers above, the back one to reveal a storage area, under the desk box is a wide drawer flanked by four rope turned tall legs ending in brass toe castors, old refinished condition, 30" wide x 17 3/4" deep x 36 1/2" tall with castors, C1830-40.
