14 1/2" French Fashion Doll, With knees slightly bent, white leather gusseted kid body, bisque socket head on bisque shoulder plate with inset dark blue glass eyes, closed mouth, and ears pierced into the head. The cork pate is affixed securely to her head and she has a curly blonde mohair wig. her body is stamped in blue, "J'uets Enfants & Confections Pr Poupees J. Hameau 4 Rue De Tournon, PARIS". The doll is wearing antique leather boots, and long wool mourning dress with lace hat and comes with provenance: "Belonged to Carrie Cheney who passed away at age 6, ultimately ended at Cheney Homestead in Manchester."
