Lot of Two Dolls, A) 15 1/2" tall German bisque socket head doll, marked (4), attributed to J D Kestner. Doll has a straight wrist ball jointed composition body, brown glass sleep eyes, long brown wig, closed mouth. Condition: faint hairline crack extending from top of forehead on rim to just above the eyebrows. B) 17" tall German bisque socket head doll marked 191 GB K (star) R made by Kammer and Reinhardt, she has an open mouth, inset blue glass eyes, and is on a jointed wood and composition German doll body. She is wearing antique clothing. Condition: there are several rubs to her nose and cheeks, along with a hairline crack from right eyebrow to the corner of her eye, also wig pulls.
