Lot 24: 18" French Bisque Head Doll

18" French Bisque Head Doll, Marked "JL" on front shoulder late with one piece head and shoulders on a kid over wooden body with shapely plump torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, hips and knees with bisque arms above the elbows. She has cobalt blue inset eyes, closed mouth, feathered brows and has a cork pate firmly affixed to her head and blonde mohair wig with braid in front around forehead. There is a repair to the tip of her right thumb (appears to have been off and reglued back on). This doll has beautiful clothing which includes layers of cotton and lace underwear, lacy scallop pattern stockings, high leather boots with tassels, blue plaid silk skirt, gauzy blouse, black elaborate fringe and bead work jacket with lace, open work snood, and blue enamel pocket watch.
