Henry Clay (1777-1852) "Writes on Temperance", A handwritten letter dated 1846 when he was at his estate "Ashland" near Lexington Kentucky before going back to congress as a senator, nicely framed with his photo, a typed translation of the letter and a history of his life around this time, framed under glass, 24" x 31" overall, some fold creases. Provenance: Originally framed and sold by the American Museum of Historical Documents in las Vegas, Nevada- label on reverse.
