Ancient Central Native American Carved Lava Stone Pipe, Probably Pre-Columbian Costa Rica area with two carved faces; the end face is vertical with a horizontal nose, the bottom one is more oblong with side braids of hair, 6 3/4" long x 4" tall x 4" wide, the pipe when it came to us had a Native American made hide, gut and wood stem inserted into the pipe bowl and tied so to smoke the tobacco was placed into the stem hole, we untied it and its available for view, the surface is old and unfinished, as found, we feel the pipe stem is a much later addition and the original one is now lost.
