Chinese Gold Thread Pictorial Textile, Depicting two chinese ladies in a garden setting surrounded by flowers, each are done in silk set on a gold thread ground with a round border of silk and gold with an outer fabric border, matted and framed under glass, the textile has a diameter of 19 1/2", 19th/20thC Chinese. Provenance- From the Historic Colonial Club Collection, a 100 year old Fairhaven, Mass. home which historic minded residents acquired and bequeathed art and artifacts from the clipper ship era.
