Important American Cross Stretcher Pembroke Table, having a rectangular drop leaf top over a case with a flush fitting drawer with two butterfly fold out leaf supports supported by 4 tapered legs ending in spade feet, each leg with double bands of and line inlay running down the leg, rare pierced cross stretchers in the Newport style, 32" L X 27 1/2" T X 18 1/2" W (leaves down), probably Rhode Island or eastern Connecticut, the primary wood is Mahogany with poplar and pine secondary wood and chestnut used as the drawer dividers, old refinished condition C1795.
