A Group of Nigerian Ethnographic Objects. A) A Nupe stool, Nupe people, Nigeria. The stool of classical form with four tapering legs with rounded struts between each, the surface incised. Fine patina. B) The lot including an ebony or rosewood carved head of a young woman in tourist style, two old and traditionally made and used pounders for preparing food, and a basketry tray. All collected mid-1960�s. C) Three decorative Nigerian masks. Made from blond wood and not patinated, the masks of characteristic form, made as tourist pieces. D) A group of African textilles. Sold as-is as decorative objects.
