Lot 78: [Amherst NH History]

Three pieces of early Amherst, NH ephemera. A) 1790 summons of unpaid debt, signed by Sam Wilkins, Justice of the Peace and son of Reverend Wilkens. Requesting Benjamin Hutchinson of Amherst make good on his 2 pound debt to a Mr. Nathan Merril, also of Amherst. On laid paper with watermark and wax seal, both parties names written to the reverse. 7" x 4 1/2". Along with B) Two copies of the Farmer's Cabinet from 1827 and 1875, an Amherst based publication published by Boylston until 1900.
