Springfield A303 Sporter s#1341073, manufactured in 1930 with a very good clean bore and 24" barrel. Rifle appears to have been reblued at some point as well as re-barrelled, bluing is 98%. Receiver is drilled and tapped with weaver mounts and rings as well as a Lyman All American 2 1/2 scope that is clear with cross hairs intact. Sporterized pistol grip stock with cheek piece and redhead butt shows handling marks with a cracked finish. Checkering at pistol grip and forend appears to have been hand done and moderately worn. Sling swivels and a military style leather sling is broken at holes for connector. SS# is engraved on the left side of the receiver towards the front just under the scope mounts. Believed to be 30-06cal but will need to be verified.
