Sporterized Model 1898 Krag Johnson made by Springfield Armory in.30-40 krag, serial #425435. Receiver has been worn to a grey patina and has been drilled and tapped on the left side as well as a #ss scribed by electric pen. Military sights have been removed and a rear peep sight has been installed. Bore is worn with light pitting. Stock has been sporterized with a rubber butt plate and reinforced with mother of pearl inlay. Stock shows great grain and light handling marks. Comes with an updated military style leather sling. Overall good condition.
