Sears an Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary...25 July, 1891 signed by the bearer, Francis P. Sears and Rufus (?) Lincoln, presumably of the Foreign Service.. Addressed and stamped with Ottoman Empire stamps, Palestine. (A reproduction of the application for this passport visa is also available). On paper, with elaborate watermark, embossed paper seal, several overseas ink stamps to upper left. 11 3/4" x 18".
