A Middle Sepik stool, Iatmul, Middle Sepik; Papua New Guinea
The stool of classical form, with large seat with carved perimeter in scalloped patterning, the struts wide and with rounded carved faces, with some insect depredation, the feet similarly carved with curvilinear motifs. Fine old example. W. 24", H. 11"
