A Superb and old rattle; the upper portion in the form of an eagle's face with hooked beak beneath ovoid eyes and arching brows, the whole with original red and black pigments, remains of animal hair atop the head. The handle with an exceptional patina of use. 1880's or earlier. On a custom base. H. 10"
