A Superb and Rare Songye Kifwebe knife, Songye; D.R. Congo
The handle in the form of a figure with Kifwebe head, with high sagittal crest and long tubular eyes, the central ridge forming the line of the face with a distinct nose and squared mouth, the figure with bent arms carved geometrically holding the chin, the whole with linear striations in red and white against a black ground, the blade inset into the bottom of the figure.
