Middle Eastern Mixed Metal and Iron Shield, circular convex form with four bosses having an applied 1/2 round edge, engraved multiple borders of calligraphy, flowers and other designs with silver inlaid highlights, the center area has multiple engraved figures of men on horseback, animals and flowers with inset gold highlights and a center circle with a gold highlighted engraved name, 20 5/8" D, 4 inset iron loops on the back side for rope holds, appears to be 18th/19thC. or earlier.
