Lot 150: Chinese Tang Dynasty Pottery Plate (600-700 A.D.)

Chinese Tang Dynasty Pottery Plate (600-700 A.D.), the beautiful rare ceramic 10" plate was made during the Tang dynasty of China, the outer part of the body is glazed in a creamy colour with a mint or green, and the base is similarily decorated, excellent condition, althought the glaze has degraded somewhat with fine calcification visible over much of the surface and some remnants of encrustation from burial, but there are no chips, cracks or apparent repairs. Prov: This plate was previously sold by Brain Page Antiques of Brighton, and then by Art Ancient Ltd., the plate comes with the Certificate of Authenticity from Art Ancient Ltd.
