Checkerboard Candlestand, a molded edge oval mahogany tip top with central inlaid checkerboard and a compass on each side, over a vase and ring turned shaft supported by three cabriole legs ending in snake feet, the supporting block under the top is made so the checkers can be stored there, this hand made stand probably done in L19thC., 27"W x 28"T, comes with a box of ivory checkers.
