A fine and large West African colonial figure. West Africa, Collected prior to 1950. The old figure with small cap, whimsically carved face with large eyes, and with well proportioned body. The figure in colonial military uniform with machete and canteen at the waist. Possibly Ghanian or Ivorian? From a private New England collection.
