The mask originally created to be displayed on a large Yam made of finely coiled basketry in the form of a helmet, the upper portion with eyes and sagittal fin representing a nose. The rear with stylized ‘coif’ of basketry. Remains of red yellow and white pigments. A very fine example. Property of a Midwestern private collector.
