A fine and old Southern or Eastern African staff. South East Africa H: 50". The staff topped by a figure in dressed in colonial military clothing, wearing a fez and jacket with shorts. Remains of blackening to the surface, now largely crumbled off and one inset eye missing. Probbaly carved just shortly after WWI. From and Old New England collection, by descent.
