A fine and Ubangi figural harp Ngbaka or related peoples, DR Congo. H: 34" The harp of anthropomorphic form, the head carved to the top of the sound box, with classical face with swollen eyes and libnes cut down nose as is found in scarification in this region. The sound box with geometric patterning and old aluminum top, the bottom with legs emerging. The bow fitted into the head. A fine and powerful piece, quite rare. On a custom base. Ex.
