An archaic Philippines Ossuary container figural lid. Philippines, Cotabato region, Mindanao C. 15th C. Height: 6". The figure sitting with legs bent and hands to the knees, the head carved simply and in typical style. This would have been the top for a stone urn used to hold remains of ancestors as a secondary burial.
