Lot 59: Wooden Katabori Netsuke of a Shishi

Wooden Katabori Netsuke of a Shishi Dog, recumbent position with the mouth open, golden red color, feels like petrified wood, 2 1/2" long, some minor age pitting, 19th century. Provenance: From the John C. Reilly, 1883-1935, Jr. collection. He purchased Henry A. Ramsden's Japanese collection who was in partnership with Japanese coin dealer Jun Kobayagawa of Yokohama.
