Continental Carved Ivory Joan of Arc Battle Scene, made from splitting an ivory ball then carving both sides of the interior. One side is hinged, the exterior of the ball has carved stepped circles and a hole at each end, possibly used for the attachment of a stand. Appears to be late 18th or early 19th century, 2 1/2" diameter, hinge detached from one side with a chip where the hinge was attached.
