Tibetan Bone Trumpet, a Classical "Kangling," the shaft wrapped in thin wire, the mouth piece and decorative elements of silver with attached coral and turquoise. Excellent old patina, a traditional and old example, 11 1/2" long. Provenance: From the collection of explorer Fritz Hardenbrook a personal friend of the consignor. These pieces were acquired by Fritz in the mid 1930s. The book "Forgotten Letters, Tramping through China, 1935-1937" documents his time there.
