Pair of American Coin Silver Pepper Castors, Thomas Hammersley, 18th century, New York. The oval body of each castor is ribbed with double swivel handle sides supported by a flared round base, the upper section has a removable domed section with holes adorned by an acorn finial, 9 1/4" tall. The upper section is engraved with a coat of arms, the bottom is stamped twice, "TH" on each. Approximately 1 lb. 2 troy ounces. Provenance: A Southern estate collection.
