Lot 70: Susan B. Anthony Typed Letter

Susan B. Anthony: Typed letter signed, dated "Dec. 19, 1898" on National American Woman Suffrage Association letterhead. To "Mrs. Helen Pillsbury Cogswell, Concord, N.H. My Dear Friend…." (Mrs. Cogswell was the daughter of Parker Pillsbury and wife of Brainerd Cogswell). Included with the letter is the original envelope with National American Woman Suffrage letterhead with logo and Washington 2-head stamp, and the official cancellation stamp which reads, "ROCHESTER, N.Y. CARGO SERVICE B DEC 20 7PM".
