Lot 265: Virginia Confederate Uniform Button

Virginia Confederate Uniform Button, by "Horstmann & Allen/NY' marked button with "Rays", 21.25mm in diameter. Button was originally purchased in 1940 at the "Wheeling Antiques Show," in West Virginia. Hand written notation on card reads "Berkely Border Guard of Stonewall Jackson Brigade. Confederate button from Col. J.Q.A. Nadenbousch uniform, who organized the First Western VA. Co." All Civil War Items are from the collection of Richard Vitagliano of Concord, NH, collected over Forty Years.
