"Also includes a, "Descriptive Roll of Company," and "Regiment, U.S." B - Company Clothing," embossed on front cover of leather bound ledger. Piece of period ledger paper pasted to back of the front cover reads, "Piece list of Clothing, Camp and Garrison Equipage. Extracts July (?) 1864. "The United States in Account with Edward K. Russ, of "H" company, "2nd" Regiment of "NH Cavalry,", account of clothing during his enlistment; the money value of each issue being hereby acknowledged. Enlisted at "Franklin Sea(? on the "Fourth" Day of "Jan" 1864.) C - "Company Morning reports," embossed on the front cover of leather bound ledger. Ledger describes, "On For Duty," "On Special Duty," "On Extra Duty," "On Daily Duty, "Sick" "In Arrest or Confinement," "Horse" etc. "Sent," "Present or Absent" signature of the first Sergeant and signature of the company commander.
