Approximately 164 N.H. Regimental Civil War Documents including death rolls, pay posters, muster rolls, ammunition, arms and supply rosters, desertion documentation, hospital documents, letters etc. There are four documents from the 1st N.H. Regiment Company "H" Calvary, from the 2nd N.H. Regiment Company "H" Calvary, thirty one. From the 8th N.H. Regiment Company "H" Calvary, sixty two documents. The 8th NH Regiment Co. "H" Volunteer Infantry has fifty two documents, there are fourteen miscellaneous pieces including two cabinet cards, unfilled official documents, unidentified NH regiment muster rolls, etc. and one framed letter from New Orleans signed by "John K. Stokes Capt. "H" 2nd Reg. NH Heavy Artillery," "Frank D. Woodbury L.M. Serg't 2nd NH Cav," and "Thasle Prescott" Ad Jr. 2nd NH Cavalry and wooden letter box marked "S.R. Hall."
