Ornately Decorated, Half Stock Percussion Cap Target Rifle with octagonal rifled barrel. The nicely figured walnut stock is checkered at the wrist and ornately inlaid with intricately engraved German Silver adornments. The patch box door is finely engraved with a hunting scene depicting two hounds chasing a large buck. The fancy German silver trigger guard surrounds a single trigger while the fancy foreshock is adorned with engraved German silver inlays including heavily gadrooned grip panel on the underside of the fore grip. Side lock engraved, "J. Fisher," (Birmingham 1857-1861). Rifle measures 49 3/4" overall, barrel is 34" long. Estimate $5,000-6,000
