John Wood, Philadelphia Tall Case Clock, mahogany case with a broken arched bonnet with 3 brass finials and fluted columns, the waste has fluted 1/4 columns flanking a molded edge door over a base with fluted canted corners flanking a raised panel supported by a molded bracket base (appears to be added later); the works are 8 day time and strike movement with a second hand dial and calendar aperture; the tomb stone dial has a round plaque at the top signed, "John Wood, Philad," silvered dial with spandrels, comes with 2 cast iron weights and a paint decorated pendulum, 95 1/2" tall including the finial, probably John Wood Junior, circa 1760.
