Two Nepalese Wooden Carvings and Tibetan Cloth: Carving of Vishnu portrayed with 4 arms, holding his turtle avatar Karma in one hand, flanked by 2 other gods, 15 1/4" tall, late 19th century Wooden carving of a goddess, 12" tall, missing part of her hand and top of her shoulder, 19th c, possibly Nepalese. Tibetan painting on cloth, depicting various gods, 32" square, in an old wooden frame, 2 tears, minor paint loss on lower right. Provenance: An Amherst, NH estate collection. Estimate $200-300
