Ethnographic Arts at The Cobbs

The Arts of Africa, the Pacific Islands and Indonesia, Tribal Himalaya, and the Americas both before the discovery of the New world and after, represent some of the most expressive and powerful art forms. Influential to the early Modernist movement of contemporary art because of its abstraction, these art forms resonate to the very depths of our being. The Cobbs is pleased to be able to offer a fine selection of Art from these areas in vetted sales; from shrine figures of West Africa and sacred masks of New Guinea; clubs of Polynesia and Shamanic implements of the Himalayas to Native American textiles and beadwork as well as pre-Columbian ceramics, our Ethnographic art department offers a wide range of art and artifacts for all levels of collecting.
