Japanese Kyu-Gunto Army Dress Sword, With elongated hilt. Used from 1883 to 1945. Brass hilt with chrysanthemums. White ray-skin wrapped grip. Excellent sharp blade with single fuller. Nickel plated scabbard. Blade length: 28". Length overall: 37 1/2". Together with a Type 30 bayonet used with the Type 30 Arisaka rifle. Made by the Tokyo Hohei Kosho arsenal. Includes metal scabbard and rubberized canvas frog. Very good condition.
