Pair of 19thC Oval Portraits with History, Oil on canvas painting of Mary Wendell (1811-1886) and Robert B Mintum (1805-___), he was part owner, Grinnell, Mintum & Co., NY of the famous "Flying Cloud" clipper ship holding the record for 100 years of the fastest voyage from NY to San Francisco, 29" tall x 23 1/2" wide on the oval, old, probably original oval gold frames with remains of an old Boston label on reverse, cleaned and lined in the late 20thC, descended in the original family until now.
