Lot 30: Egyptian Blue Faience Scarab

Egyptian Blue Faience Winged Scarab, probably Late Period (664-332 BCE), typical form with wings attached (modern string), encrustation and chips to outer edge of wings. 5" wide, 2 1/2" long. Amulets like this were mostly used in a funerary context, placed over the heart of a mummy in burial.
