In the style of an early Naval Cutlas with basket hilt hand guard and eagle pommel, the blade with considerable oxidation probably added later, and shorter than what would have been originally attached. The grip also probably replaced and made of simple stained wood. No hallmarks to hilt or blade apparent, though the eagle pommel is in the style of Isaac Hutton, but probably made later.
