Springfield U.S. Model 1795 Flintlock Musket, some restoration. Butt plate impressed "1803", sidelock plate impressed "1810" and "US" over eagle over "SPRINGFIELD". Barrel arsenal touch marked with "P" over eagle's head over "V". Barrels tang is impressed "6181" or "1819". The hammer has been repaired and the frizzen and its spring have been professionally replaced. The barrel measures 42" long, the rifle measure 57 1/4" long overall.
