Parker Trojan 12 Gauge Side By Side Shotgun, Near new (or as possibly restored by Larry Del Grego Of Ilion, New York), Serial number: 170244 so it was made in 1917. 28 inch barrels with full and modified chokes. Sparkling, mirror-like bores have 2 5/8 inch chambers. Metal surfaces including barrels, trigger guard and receiver retain absolutely 100% of blue and case color finishes. Lock-up is tight as a bank vault. The nicely figured wood has several minor dings and a little crazing of the varnish here and there with checkering at the wrist and forend. There is a totally miniscule and stable 1 inch long grain check extending out from the rear tang screw. It has not opened and should not be a problem in the future. There are two chips in the butt plate. Replacements are available should you wish to replace it, however they do not affect you when you fire the gun. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches. Drop at heel: 2 7/8 inches. Drop at comb: 1 3/8 inches. An added bonus is that the gun has its original hang tag from Parker factory. About as good a Trojan as you will find.
